The Sinner's Prayer

The Sinners' Prayer

When you say these words to the Lord Jesus, and receive Him in your heart, you are "born again," and saved from your sins. He will become the Lord and Master of your life, and will lead and guide you through salvation, with His unending mercy and grace.

THIS IS JUST STEP ONE - YOU ARE JUST BEGINNING YOUR JOURNEY WITH HIM.

"Dear Jesus, I believe in You. I believe You are the Son of God,

that You died for my sins, and that You were buried and rose again,

as written in the Bible. Jesus, please, come into my heart,

cleanse me with Your precious blood, wash away my sins and make me a new person.

Jesus, please take charge of my heart, my soul, my mind and my life

and make me the way You want me to be.

I accept You, Jesus , as my Lord and Savior, Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit.

Help me to lay down my past, and my ways of thinking, and instead,

ask YOU for your guidance, and the way YOU would see things.

With Your ever present help, I renounce all my sinful ways of the past.

Please forgive me for all my sins, teach me to not fall into these ways again.

Teach me to avoid temptations of body, mind and soul.

I'm sorry for the things I've done that hurt You.

I know the Kingdom of God is within each of us,

and when I hurt another, I hurt You, and I hurt myself, and all are affected.

Thank You, Jesus!

In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Now, take some quiet time and pray to Him, recalling as many sins as you can, and ask forgiveness for each and every one. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to begin recalling to your mind the memories of other sins you have committed over the course of your life, that you might have forgotten. Ask for forgiveness. Clear the slate with the Lord, your God, and be made new in His image. Let Him remold you and remake your life according to the plan that God has for you - it will be much happier, more peaceful than you have ever experienced before.
